How does Wordplay make learning easier?

You learn in Wordplay by playing a simple game that is designed using advanced learning theory. We researched accelerated learning methods and developed the Adaptive Practice™ technology on which Wordplay is based. You become highly engaged in the learning process, and every response you make during the game is carefully analyzed by the software to determine how the game should proceed so you can learn as quickly as possible.

Do you plan to add other languages and more advanced courses?

We are working hard to add more courses and languages to Wordplay. If you have expertise in a foreign language and are interested in working with us, let us know. If you have a specific need and want to lobby for your need, let us know that as well. We'll try our best to accommodate you.

I'm a teacher. How do I use Wordplay with my class?

Wordplay includes many features designed to support teachers. You can create your own courses, setup your students and monitor their progress. You can even share courses with other teachers in your school or district. And best of all, these features are 100% free for you and your students. To get started, contact us.

Is there an easy way for me to print the words?

After you login, click on the My Account link. All of the courses you can learn are listed under My Courses. Click the "course content" link for a pdf of the words in the course.

Can I get a report of my progress?

After you login, click on the My Account link. All of the courses you can learn are listed under My Courses. Click the "progress report" link for a pdf that will show your current status for each lesson.

What are points, and how are they calculated?

Points are a simple way to measure your overall learning progress. You get one point for each percent of mastery you earn and 5 points for each percent of retention.

Why are some words in parenthesis?

Words that appear in parenthesis are optional to type and show typical usage.
